Wayne V Black Scholarship

Description: In 2006, the Board of Directors of the Energy Telecommunications & Electrical Association (ENTELEC; www.entelec.org) established the Wayne V. Black Scholarship Award. It was with great sadness that in the fall of 2011, ENTELEC mourned the loss of Mr. Black. The scholarship has been renamed the “Wayne V. Black Memorial Scholarship Award”. In recognition of his many years of service on behalf of ENTELEC, the Board of Directors determined to establish a lasting tribute to Mr. Black with the creation of the annual scholarship in his name.

Home Builders Association – David Stauffer Scholarship

Description: The Home Builders Association of TN is accepting applications for the David Stauffer Scholarship. Every year the HBAT awards scholarships to students going into an industry related field. We need your help with getting this scholarship application out to your students. We want to make sure that we do our part in assisting those students that need some financial assistance with obtaining an education. Students meeting the minimal requirements may qualify for the matching funds of $500.

TTU Army ROTC Scholarship

Description: Attention Seniors! TTU Army ROTC  offers a $2500 per semester scholarship. There is no Military Commitment and there is an incentive to try it to see if you like it. Geneseo Migrant Center Scholarships

Description: The Geneseo Migrant Center has provided financial assistance to students across the country with a recent or ongoing history of movement to obtain work in agriculture since the inception of its first scholarship fund in 1974. Over the years, the number and size of the Center’s scholarship offerings have grown thanks to the generosity of many individuals. The Geneseo Migrant Center is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; therefore, donations to its scholarship funds are tax deductible. Description: The Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF) is a not-for-profit, private, industry-directed organization that dispenses undergraduate college scholarships and graduate fellowship assistance to talented men and women interested in graphic communication careers. The mission of the PGSF is “To strengthen the print and graphic communication industry by providing scholarship assistance.”

Young American Creative Patriotic Art Scholarship

Description: Each year, more than 3,500 high school students from across the country participate in the VFW Auxiliary’s Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest. The contest began in 1979 to recognize up-and-coming artists and encourage patriotism in youth.

 Society of Women Engineers Scholarship Program

Description: The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to women admitted to accredited baccalaureate or graduate programs, in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science. In 2016, SWE disbursed approximately 230 new and renewed scholarships valued at more than $750,000.

Stop Texting & Driving Scholarship

Description: The law firm of Raybin & Weissman offer an annual scholarship contest to Stop Texting and Driving. Students will create videos that help in the fight against distracted driving and needless car accident injuries. A total of three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded: one to the best video entry from Davidson County (TN), one to the best entry from the state of TN, and one to the best entry from the entire US. Deadline for entry is April 3, 2017.

Diabetes Scholars Foundation Scholarships

Description: The Diabetes Scholars Foundation’s college scholarship program is available to incoming freshmen with type 1 diabetes and who are US citizens or permanent residents seeking a higher education at an accredited four year university, college, technical or trade school. This scholarship recognizes students who have high academic performance, are actively involved in the diabetes community, participate in community and/or extra-curricular activities and who have demonstrated that they are successfully managing the challenges of living with diabetes. Diabetes Scholars Foundation scholarships are not based on financial need.

Aging Matters Scholarship

SeniorCare.com is dedicated to helping seniors and their families in their quest for a better life. Aging impacts everyone and as the aging population explodes over the next 30 years, SeniorCare.com wants to bring more awareness to the key issues we face. We will be awarding an annual college scholarship to an individual that best demonstrates to us why “Aging Matters” to them.

We are excited to announce the SeniorCare.com Aging Matters Scholarship. A $1500 scholarship will be given annually to a selected college student that currently cares for an aging loved one, works within the senior community, or intends to pursue a career that will have an impact on the elder population. Any existing student (or incoming freshman), in good academic standing, at a 2 or 4 year accredited college can apply for this scholarship. And the recipient will demonstrate a unique and admirable understanding and desire to show us that “Aging Matters” to them.

The SeniorCare.com Aging Matters Scholarship awards $1500 to be applied towards tuition, books, board and other expenses.
